Platinum selling country rocker Kane Brown will receive a Breakthrough Artist Award from The Music Business Association, Music Biz 2019 Conference on May 7 at the JW Marriott Nashville.
Past Breakthrough Artists Award recipients include Carrie Underwood, John Legend, Julia Michaels, Ariana Grande, The Killers, Sam Hunt, Meghan Trainor, Halsey, Maren Morris, Lukas Graham, Nicki Minaj to name a few.
The New York Times says, “Kane Brown is one of Nashville’s most promising young stars and also one of its most flexible.”
Brown will be honored with fellow 2019 Breakthrough Artist Bebe Rexha.
Country rock n’ roller Kane is a 3 time AMA winner and a No. 1 Billboard 200 release of his second album release, Experiment. Brown is the only male country artist in more than 24 years to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 Chart and one of three to top the Billboard 200 Charts in 2018.
His self titled debut album back in 2016 Kane Brown launched to No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and in the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 Charts. Brown is the first ever artist to top all five Billboard Country Charts.
“Lose It” is his third consecutive No. 1 single at country radio. This following Kane’s “Heaven” which is nomiated for Country Song of the Year at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awars.
