Eighteen-year-old Country powerhouse Gabby Barrett blew up the national music scene in 2018 as a finalist on Season 16 of American Idol.
This musical brainchild has now released her new sizzling track “I Hope,” and twist filled music video that blasts a low down cheating ex.
The video was filmed in Nashville and paints a picture of what Barrett “hopes” for her ex, and debuts her striking new look to match her upsurging kick-start into Country’s mainstream.
“I am so unbelievably excited to share ‘I Hope’ with the world,” Gabby says. “After my Idol chapter closed, I knew this song was the one I wanted to frame myself with. Being a female, I know what it’s like to go through a bad break up and not get to say what you REALLY want to. This song is for anybody that has gone through the same.”
Gabby has shared the stage with superstars like Luke Bryan, Bebe Rexha, Sugarland and Carrie Underwood, and embarked on the American Idol Live! 2018 Tour and Chris Lane’s LAPS AROUND THE SUN TOUR. Barrett will continue touring in 2019, stopping at the annual Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, in April. Currently Gabby is in the studio working with Grammy-nominated producer Ross Copperman on her forthcoming project.
Prior to American Idol, Gabby performed 136 shows in 2017 alone. Raised money for a host of regional charities, including the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh and the Ronald McDonald House and was regarded as “A voice you must hear” by The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
With an engaged and loyal fanbase screaming for new music Gabby is currently working on a new release with producer Ross Copperman.
A native of Munhall, Pennsylvania, and one of eight children, Barrett began singing in her local gospel choir in Homestead, Pennsylvania at the age of nine, started playing shows at age 11 and won the respected Kean Quest Talent Search in 2014.
