This Saturday, the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business will again serve as host sponsor to Data Con L.A. (formerly Big Data Day L.A.). For the seventh year in a row, the fast-growing conference – now up to more than 2,000 anticipated attendees – will feature start-up competitions, panel discussions, tutorials and keynote addresses that spotlight Los Angeles’ unique role in the data and tech economy.
This year’s Data Con LA features keynotes by the LA City Controller, Airspace Experience Technologies, SoCal Edison, USC, Accenture, GAAD and many more. In addition, there will be tutorials about data science and Blockchain. Lastly, panels about IoT, Big Data and a women-focused panel on leading data will be showcased at the event.
“Data Con L.A. is the largest data conference in Southern California and features the most vibrant gather of data and technology enthusiasts in Los Angeles,” said Nina Richardson, associate director of the Marshall masters program in data analytics and the lead Data Con organizer for Marshall. “We look forward to a full day of workshops, start-up contests, tutorials, panels and networking sessions to bring the data community together.”
